rejection

It's a no go.  The drug company won't allow those who had toxic side-effects from IPI (that stupid bout of diarrhea).  The study nurse called me last night and let me know they were in negotiations, but it wasn't looking good.  They just called to say that the drug company is not going to budge.

Back to the drawing board.  The doctor here seems to think IPI again would be a possibility.  Radiation is another option that could get my immune system in attack mode.  I will discuss it all with my doctor in Utah and he will come up with something amazing.  He always does.

I have been spoiled here by my old roommate Natalee.  Her and her darling children have kept me distracted and happy.  I was hoping to be here often, but it wasn't in the cards.

I think it's time for a drive out to the coast...

  2. The doctor will come up with something better. You still have BRAF and radiation options! No giving up!

  4. If they knew who they were rejecting, they'd think again.

  5. Ohhh man. (I have been following you in stealth mode during this crazy semester...) I am sorry to hear! What a bummer!! Stupid decision-trees for clinical trials! I wish they could be a little more flexible...

Well, on to the next challenge! You can do this, as you have shown all of us already. Maybe go and regroup at the coast and then come back to it...

  8. Just keep in mind that super cheesy quote about one door closing and another opening. Love, your friend who always misquotes things.

  9. Arghh! I think it is time to lie... I say the diarrhea came from a friends cooking. Tell them to give me a call. Gosh, I am so sorry that you and your sweet family have to deal with all of this uncertainty. Your right though, your Dr. will come up with something amazing. A new plan that can keep you close to Josh :). You can do this! We will be keeping you in our every prayer.
