23 January 2015 - 11:00 AM

We will not be going home today.

They have been trying to balance Alisa's fluids all week.  They don't want to give her too much (she is retaining all of it) but they have to give her enough to keep her kidney's functioning properly.

Her blood work came back this morning showing her kidney function was down a bit, so they are giving her fluids today and don't feel good sending her home yet.

She sleeps a lot.  Sorry for the short/lame update.

  1. Josh - you are amazing. Sending lots of love to you guys.

  2. Josh,
This is not a lame update. Although We do not know one another, I pray for Alisa daily, begging God for a miracle for your precious family. You keep us posted in such a good way... even though you must be exhausted. Just knowing Alisa is sleeping through most of this is important information for all of us who do not want her to suffer with intractable pain. Thank you for sharing with all of us. With love from Oregon, Gretchen Gear.

  3. We are all glad you keep us updated, thanks and I hope you all get to go home really soon!

  4. I'm sorry you're not going home. Thank you for all the updates. Not lame! Really appreciate that you take the time during all of this to let us know!

  5. Thanks for keeping all of us updated! We are all concerned and want to know how Alisa is doing. We are hoping and praying her fluid levels even out so y'all can go home soon!
