and again, changes

We couldn't do the PET scan today because it takes 24 hours to get the radioactive whatever they inject for the scans. Not too dissappointed, as I think we wouldn't be doing surgery until Tuesday at this point anyway. Still, the sooner the better.

But I don't have time to throw a pity party for myself. The waiting game is just something I have to get used to. I can choose how to deal with it.

I feel great right now. I have a whole weekend with nothing scheduled. The sun is out. Good enough.

  3. We took advantage of the good weather and went to the park today. It was so fun to see Sam there, the kids had fun playing together. I've been thinking about you all day today. HUGS!

  4. Hi Alisa,
Not sure if you remember me...I'm Brittany's sister. So sorry you are dealing with all this again.
I just got done reading an awesome book called "50 Secrets of the World's Longest Living People" By Sally Beare
It follows the people in 5 cities in the world that have the most centurions. These places have virtually no cancer in their populations. It might be worth the read to you. Their diets are all really similar...and yummy.
I have no idea what kind of diet you guys have ...you all look extremely healthy, but just thought I'd mention it since I was thinking of ya!

  5. I hope you have/had a wonderful weekend even if the sun wasn't really friendly Saturday. But hey, the Cougs won - I'm sure Josh was happy! You're awesome - all my good thoughts, faith and prayers are coming your way! Jeri

  6. We missed you guys down in Monticello this weekend. I ran past a guy at the .5 marathon with a "two time cancer survivor" shirt, and loved it because I was running for one of those too. (More like lumbering for one... but you get the idea)
